Founders Day 8th February 2018

This year the theme is GREEN PLANET: Protecting our World. We will be extending our welcome in many ways, including a shared lunch with Grandparents in Year 2 and Afternoon Tea in Year 5. We will be thanking our community by delivering a ‘thank you’ hamper to our local police, fire and ambulance stations as well to the hospital. We will also be helping our community with litter picking and collections, again, for the local food bank that has a rising demand. For this bit we need your help. We will be collecting food items and will then do two things with the donations. Some items will be sold by Year 4 pupils at 2.30pm in order to raise cash for the Food Bank and also allow our families to access food at a vastly reduced price. The remainder of the food will then be collected.
We are also looking for volunteers with their wellies, warm clothes and gloves! We are hoping that you can offer half an hour or an hour in the morning or afternoon to help clear out our woodland and environmental area to enable us to allow the pupils in there once the weather improves. Outdoor adventures and developing our grounds are high on our agenda. If you can offer some time we would hugely appreciate it. Please let the office know. Sessions will be 9am-9.45am, 11-11.45am and 2-2.45pm. Thank you in advance. Look our for more information about Founders Day via school bags!
