It’s Harvest Time at Bramford!

By 14 October 2024No Comments

Bramford celebrated their Harvest Festival on Friday 11th October.  An assembly was held and the children enjoyed singing the harvest songs they had been practising.  David Bell, the Pastor from St Paul’s Church in Lower Gornal, joined the teachers and pupils for their harvest service and spoke to pupils about the story Sower and the Seeds, likening them to the seeds that fell on the good soil.

David works closely with the Black Country Foodbank, which is where the food collected by our pupils will be taken to be distributed to families in the local area.  He spoke about how generous Bramford always is at harvest time and thanked them and their families for the food and toiletries that had been donated.

After assembly, the children in Year 6 kindly helped David to sort the food and it was collected by volunteers from the food bank.  They were amazed by how much had been collected.  The members of Pupil Parliament helped to load the donations into the van.

Everyone at Bramford would like to thank all those who donated food for our harvest celebration, David for joining in our celebrations and the Black Country Foodbank for collecting our donations. We would also like to thank them for all the good work they do in our community.

Thank you!
