Scientists in the Making

By 8 March 2023No Comments

2 Mozart have been experimenting with materials this term. They have been learning about the famous scientist and inventor, Charles Macintosh, who invented waterproof material. Macintosh became so famous that the mac (a name for a waterproof coat) was named after him!

The children were certainly Exploring Elephants as they worked in teams to make their own waterproof material. They used different types of paper and plastic to create the waterproof material, then they tested whether the material was flexible and waterproof. They were so inventive that almost all of the materials they made were waterproof!

Well done 2 Mozart Griffins, you are certainly becoming great scientists.
