What a busy day of scientific learning we have had at Bramford!
Year 3 have been looking at the life cycle of a flowering plant. They concentrated on seed dispersal using wind and tried to make sycamore seeds to catch the breeze. It was super breezy so they span and flew really well. Some children even tried launching them like the bursting style plants for a bit of extra oomph!
Year 6 have also joined with their Year 6 Griffin companions across the country to test how craters are made on the moon. They tested a variety of meteors (âimpactorsâ) to identify the length and depth the craters made, and whether the size and mass of the meteor had an effect on the crater caused. Of course, we completed the experiment as a fair test to ensure our results were accurate.
