Spanish Day

By 24 October 2023No Comments

Monday 16th October was Spanish Day here at Bramford, where we celebrated all things Spanish and embraced the culture and language. On this special day, Key Stage 1 pupils delved into the culture of Spain, looking at flags of Spanish-speaking countries, listening to music and took part in an online flamenco lesson.

Meanwhile, Key Stage 2 pupils explored Spanish culture through art, focusing on the works of renowned artists such as Joan MirĂł and Pablo Picasso. They even created art in their distinctive styles. In addition, our Griffins practiced their language skills by learning greetings, the alphabet and how to express emotions.

Years 3 and 4 were lucky enough to have a dance teacher visit the school, teaching them a flamenco dance sequence and even putting on a short performance. It was an exciting and educational day that allowed the children to immerse themselves in the rich culture of Spain, and other Spanish-speaking countries, and expand their language and artistic skills.

ÂĄFue un dĂa fabuloso! (It was a fabulous day!)
