Our Year 6 Griffins were immersed in the Victorious Victorian era when they visited the Black Country Living Museum and explored what life was like in Victorian times.
The children studied in a Victorian school, learnt how to write in a copperplate style as well as finding out the punishment given to children with dirty hands and feet! They explored a variety of artefacts in the historical sources workshop, and questioned what a primary and secondary source was. They also visited the different shops and houses in the museum, learning what chemists, hardware shops, general stores and many more were like in the Victorian era.
The question is, which era would you prefer to live in?
