On Friday 9th June, our Year 3 Griffins were Go-For-It Gorillas and Exploring Elephants as they became Roman citizens and immersed themselves into the Roman way of life. We were astounded by the calibre of Romans who arrived at school that day, their costumes were fantastic and it was clear a lot of time, effort and money had been put into them looking so wonderful. The rest of the school community enjoyed seeing so many Romans about and in character – luckily we weren’t defeated by the Roman army!
Year 3 had a fun and creative day where they brought their learning to life as they acted out Boudicca’s Story, completed a Now Press Play experience where they explored a Roman’s perspective of the events, they examined images of Celtic artefacts, learnt about how the Romans conquered the Celts and much more. What a fun and motivating way to learn!
