Year 6 Griffins Deepen their Knowledge in PSHE

By 15 April 2024April 16th, 2024No Comments
Our Bramford Griffins study a very varied, interesting and thought-provoking PSHE curriculum and Year 6 explored the topics of British Values and Forced Marriage. The children discussed both areas with empathy, confidence and understanding and both themes certainly broadened their knowledge of issues in their world.
As part of the Forced Marriage discussions, we talked about the pros and cons of different marriages and we had to guess what age restrictions there were on certain activities. It certainly encouraged heated discussions!
Comments on British Values included :
“British Values means you respect other people around us even if they are different from us. They deserve to be respected.”
“British Values means the pride and laws of Britain.”
“British Values means that you do not judge people by their beliefs and values.”
“British Values are democracy, laws and liberty.”
Well done, Year 6!
